But that’s only part of the story.
Most of the work comes from nearly two decades in advertising, 16 of those across Vietnam and China, through Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Publicis and now Hakuhodo - where things rarely follow a formula.
It’s shaped by nuance, culture, business realities… usually all at once.
Timing matters. People matter. And outcomes are never individual.
I started in design, branding, and film in Canada. That’s where the foundation in craft came from. Asia was where it got tested, adapted, and sometimes unlearned - just enough to make ideas resonate in a different context.
Awards set the bar. They give something to aim for. As it should. But first, the work has to land. It has to hold up where it matters.
It’s the parts that can’t be quantified that often make the difference.
